Mid 19th Century The Qualamdan or Divit measures approx 8 1/2 inches (215mm) long, by 1 3/4 inches (45mm) wide, by 1 3/8 inches (35mm) tall. It is made from brass, and is in good, antique condition. In use it would have been worn in the scribes belt, or girdle, and would have held caligraphy implements and ink. The inkwell lid opens and closes as it should, the pen case lid opens freely, but does not click shut. This is a fine example of its type and it would make a great addition to any collection. In my estimation it dates from around the mid 19th Century, but please make up your own mind about this.
The Qualamdan or Divit measures approx 8 1/2 inches (215mm) long, by 1 3/4 inches (45mm) wide, by 1 3/8 inches (35mm) tall.
