Blue Cherry Antiques Fine Antiques & Objects Antique Chased Brass Islamic Pot A small brass pot with pierced work top and chased detail including Islamic script around the body.  It is of sightly rounded base and conical in shape, the rim is rolled over to increase strength.  The pot is hand made and dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. Given the size it may have been intended for burning incense.  Middle Eastern Islamic region, and probably from Damascus.
Condition
See images for general condition.  Exterior generally nicely polished.  Various knocks and indents, but hard to determine which are from the hand making process and which are later.  Original joints visible to the rim.  Normal age related wear.
